Improvement Camp ("we", "us", "the site"), a website operated by VIEWSPIKE LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company, respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you visit improvementcamp.com, why we collect it, and what choices you have. By using this site, you accept the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect information in three situations.

Information you give us directly: if you take the pattern quiz, submit a contact form, or opt in to receive results by email, we may receive the data you enter, including your email address and your quiz responses. We use this to send your results and related communications that you can unsubscribe from at any time. Where forms exist, the form provider is identified next to the form.

Information collected automatically: when you visit the site, our servers and analytics partners may automatically collect technical information including IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time spent on pages, and clicks on outbound links. This information is used to understand site traffic and improve content performance.

Information collected when you buy: when you make a purchase, we collect the information needed to complete and support your order, including your name, email address, billing details, and what you bought. Our checkout and payment processor handles your payment, and we do not store your full payment card number. We keep a record of your purchase so we can deliver your product, provide support, and process refunds.

Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies

This site uses a small, named set of technologies:

• Cloudflare hosts and secures the site and provides basic, cookie-free traffic analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics). Cloudflare may set short-lived security cookies to protect the site from abuse.
• PostHog is our product-analytics provider (United States cloud). It records which pages are viewed and how the site performs, using a device identifier stored in a cookie and local storage. We configure it for aggregate analytics only: automatic click capture is off, and session recording is disabled in the code we ship, so it does not record video-style replays of your screen.
• Encharge is our email service provider. When you opt in through the quiz, it processes the email address and quiz-related data you submit in order to send your results and follow-up notes.
• Formaloo provides the contact form on the contact page and processes what you submit there.
• ThriveCart provides checkout on offer pages, with payment handled by processors such as Stripe and PayPal inside the checkout. These load when you interact with an offer page and are necessary to complete a purchase.
• AutomateHero renders the countdown timer some email subscribers see on offer pages.
• First-party storage keeps your quiz progress and your consent choice on your own device. This never leaves your browser.

Your consent controls analytics. If you visit from California, Florida, Pennsylvania, or Washington, analytics and the countdown service stay off until you choose Accept on the consent notice, and choosing Decline keeps them off. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal for all visitors: if your browser sends GPC, analytics stays off with no action needed from you. Web fonts are served from our own domain, so no font provider receives your IP address. You can also disable cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site may work less well.

Advertising: this site does not currently use advertising pixels. If that changes, they will be subject to the same consent controls and this policy will be updated first.

How we use information

We use collected information to operate, maintain, and improve the site; to take, deliver, and support your orders; to measure performance; to detect, prevent, and address abuse; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act. We share information with the service providers named in this policy only so they can perform their services for us.

When you buy, and affiliate links

When you make a purchase from this site, VIEWSPIKE LLC is the seller, and we collect the order and customer information described above. Our checkout and payment processor handles your payment, and we do not store your full payment card number. Separately, the site may include affiliate links to third-party products. If you follow an affiliate link and buy on the third party's site, that purchase happens on their platform under their terms, and we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links are identified where they appear.

Third-party links

This site may link to other websites we do not control. Those websites have their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party site.

Data retention

Analytics data is retained for the period required by each provider listed above. Specific retention periods are governed by each provider's own policies. Contact form submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and any subsequent correspondence.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding the personal information we hold about you. These can include the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your information. Residents of Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), and Utah (UCPA) have specific statutory rights. EU and UK residents have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR respectively. To exercise any of these rights, use the contact page on this site. We will respond within the timeframes required by the applicable law.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

In the last 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (email address, IP address, device identifiers), internet activity (pages viewed, quiz interactions), commercial information (purchases), and inferences from your quiz answers, used only to select which results to send you. We collect them for the purposes described above, share them only with the service providers named in this policy, and retain them as described under Data retention.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no "Do Not Sell or Share" choice you need to make here. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal. You have the right to know, correct, and delete your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You may use an authorized agent. To exercise any right, use the contact page; we verify requests by confirming control of the email address on file.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission over the internet is 100 percent secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or applicable law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
